Jack is Here! (9.37 , 21.25)
February 7, 2008 8:38 am
What a exciting day. We guessed when he would come and I said (I is Donald) 11:45. He came at 11:44. Judith did very well through the day. The Doctor came in around 11am to break her water. He check and she was at an 8, I am told we are going for a 10. After checking he did an ultrasound, from that he could tell that Jack was breeched ( coming out backward). So we decided to have a Csection. Judith did very good we were a little scared but it went well, and Judith is recovering nicely. Because Jack was a Csection and breech he had some fluid on his lungs. They seemed to keep him much longer than we remembered them keeping Levi, but we were able to hold him until 6:30pm. At that time the nurses change shift took him back to the nursery. At the nursery they noticed he was belly breathing. The did an x-ray and blood work and found that he had fluid on his lungs and elevated white blood cells. They put an IV in and oxygen along with an antibiotic. Because he is hooked up we have to leave him in the nursery. He has to stay a minimum of 48 hours and if the blood comes back as a positive for infection he will have to stay 7days. Please pray that the blood work is fine. If everything goes well we will all go home on Saturday. He is very content but active. We are so blessed to have a healthy baby and praise God for his hand of protection through the delivery. I will only update the blog once a day so check back tomorrow for updates.
Thank you for your prayers.

I’m so excited he is here! Praying for healthy blood work so Jack can go home soon. Can’t wait to meet him… please bring my buddy Levi for a visit soon!
love,
Laurel
Hey! Congratulations! I just finished looking at the pictures of Jack. He’s so sweet. What is his full name? Maybe we can come & see ya’ll when you get moved in your new house. Tell everyone hey. I hope everything is okay with the blood work. When I had Carlie, she had a fever and they had to do all kind of tests on her, but everything came back fine. I will pray for that with Jack. Love ya’ll!
Welcome Baby Jack!!! We are so glad that you are finally here! I can not wait to hug and kiss you.
Love,
Kensington
I have no idea what I am doing! Hopefully my response comes up:) Just wanted to say how excited I am for you guys. Jeff and I have been praying for you all! Jeff told me yesterday you had Jack b/c Donald text him. He told me Jack was 9 lbs something and I said I hope she got an epidural or a c-section!:) I guess you did. He is a big boy! I guess after Bella being 6 lbs 7 oz I can’t bear to think bigger! I’m glad you are doing good. Jack is adorable and looks so much like Levi.
Praying for you and Baby Jack,
Holly
Baby Jack you are so beautiful! i am praying that you will not need to stay in the hospital for seven whole days. I know your mommy and daddy and big brother are praying the same prayer. Welcome to the world, sweet baby. love and kisses!
he is the sweetest thing! i can tell already these boys are going to be BIG trouble:) you are in our prayers-
Love you guys!
Your sweet boys are truly a gift from God. Actually I think both boys look like my brother and their Grandfather, Charles. I think Chip and Donald look like him too.
Thank God for Teresa, she keeps each part of the Rush family going on, so we won’t completely lose track of each other.
I love you all and may God bless each one of you,
Barbara Ann
